First up is İlyas Kuğu. In the world of HVACR, hands-on experience makes all the difference. For Ilyas, this industry isn’t just a career—it’s been a lifelong journey. From his early days balancing school and work to spending over 27 years as a technical instructor, he has dedicated himself to both mastering the trade and teaching the next generation of technicians.
What sets İlyas apart is his belief that true learning happens in the field. He’s passionate about making sure students don’t just memorize theory but actually understand how to apply it in real-world situations. For him, the best part of being an instructor is getting out there with his students, troubleshooting systems together, and showing them the how, not just the what.
One of his favorite topics to teach? Climate impact and responsible HVACR practices. He’s deeply committed to training technicians on leak detection, recovery, and vacuum procedures—everything that helps protect the environment. He knows that small changes in everyday practices can have a big impact, and he takes pride in passing that knowledge on.
İlyas was introduced to Fieldpiece tools during a training session for over a hundred people, and it didn’t take long for him to recognize the value of the tools. He’s used many brands over the years, but Fieldpiece stands out because it’s designed specifically for HVACR professionals.
