Aiming for a cooler world

The HVACR industry is always relevant. The HVACR professional is, therefore, also always relevant.

The industry is all around us; every building you’re in, uses HVACR units to maintain a comfortable temperature and regulate the safety of the air inside.

However, that is not the only reason for the importance of the HVACR industry. With climate change becoming more apparent in our daily lives, we rely more and more on an environmentally conscious HVACR industry.

Often, air conditioning units are fueled by electricity and use refrigerant gasses that contribute to global warming. The HVACR industry is a prime contributor to the world heating up and ozone layer depletion. To reduce the effects of air conditioning units, hard work is delivered all over the world to make the HVACR industry more environmentally friendly.

F-gas regulations

And it’s being done with success. Recently, all businesses that work in this industry have to obtain an F-gas (fluorinated gasses) accreditation. With this accreditation, all businesses that “install, maintain or service heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration units that do or could contain F-gas refrigerants” show that they’re certified to work with these gasses.

Now what is so important about these F-gas regulations? The goal of the F-gas regulations is to contain and bring down emissions. This goal is met through the use of responsible refrigeration that doesn't damage the atmospheric ozone layer.

So where do you—the professional—come into this story? Fieldpiece wants to show you that the HVACR industry has always been important, but might be more relevant than ever now. The right time to do something about global warming is right now. The demand for HVACR professionals that are F-gas certified will keep increasing in the future for the world to have the best chance to battle global warming and for a cooler world.
