Meet the team: Oli

New year, same mission! In 2024, we are just as excited to introduce you to our Fieldpiece team members and show you who is behind the brand of Fieldpiece. The month of January stars our UK Sales Support: Oli Smith.

Oli has been part of the Fieldpiece team since April 2023 and has been thoroughly enjoying his time in his job. “Getting to travel around the country, meeting different people, customers, and engineers is probably my favorite part about my job,” Oli explains. Before joining the Fieldpiece team, Oli worked in customer service but always found himself interested in sales positions. As Fieldpiece—and the sales support role— came onto his path, it seemed like the perfect challenge for him to develop himself professionally and personally.

And it was. Oli recalls his favorite memory so far at Fieldpiece when talking about his experience on the job. “My first training session I did on my own since starting at Fieldpiece is definitely up there in my top memories at Fieldpiece,” he explains, “I’m really proud of how I’ve developed myself in such a short period of time and how much confidence I have gained in my role.”

A big part of that newly-found confidence derives from the Fieldpiece team itself. Not only did Oli receive the opportunity to learn, adjust, overcome, and thrive in a new role, he also felt support from the team members to reach his potential. “I think Fieldpiece’s greatest strength is teamwork,” Oli explains, “and everyone works together really well, is top-of-the-game, and really driven,” he adds with a smile. Spending time with coworkers has turned into an exciting time of opportunity and fun for Oli at Fieldpiece, which is something we always strive for within our team.
